Neil H. Aaron, M.D. attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, graduating cum laude with a degree in biology. He attended the University of Michigan Medical School, graduating cum laude in the top ten percent of his class. His post graduate pediatric training was obtained at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he served as Chief Resident during his final year of training. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
James G. Leiferman, M.D. graduated from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln with a degree in Life Sciences and Psychology. He received his medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. He obtained his post graduate training in pediatrics at Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital at St. Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri. Following completion of his pediatric training, Dr. Leiferman joined an HMO practice in Chandler, AZ where he practiced for 2 years until joining East Valley Children's Center. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Leiferman serves as Chairman of the Credentials Committee at Banner Desert Medical Center and has served two terms as Chairman of the Department of Pediatrics at Banner Desert Medical Center. He regularly appeared as a guest pediatrician on Channel 3's "Your Life A to Z" for two years. Dr. Leiferman also serves on the Board of Directors of Mutual Insurance Company of Arizona.

David M. Curran, M.D. attended Boston College in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, where he graduated magna cum laude with a degree in biochemistry and philosophy. He attended the Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC, graduating in 1993. His post graduate training in pediatrics was obtained at Phoenix Children's Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. Following completion of his pediatric training, Dr. Curran joined East Valley Children's Center. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Presently, Dr. Curran serves on the Board of Directors of the Desert Physicians Association and is a member of the Association's Committee on Children's Issues. Dr. Curran is a medical consultant for the Maricopa County Bar Association's Medical-Legal Liaison Committee. Additionally, he is a member of the Pediatric Committee at Banner Desert Medical Center.
Gwynne A. Marstiller, M.D. initially attended Bryn Mawr College, transferring in her second year to the University of Pittsburgh where she graduated cum laude with a degree in biology. She attended the University of West Virginia School of Medicine, graduating in 1980. Her post graduate training in pediatrics was obtained at Monmouth Medical Center on the Jersey Shore where she spent the final year of post graduate training as Chief Resident. Following training, Dr. Marstiller came to Mesa, Arizona where she practiced general pediatrics in an HMO setting before joining East Valley Children's Center. Dr. Marstiller serves on the Pediatrics Committee at Banner Desert Medical Center. She is a diplomat of the American Board of Pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Alexander T. Sleder, M.D. attended the University of Notre Dame where he graduated summa cum laude with a degree in mathematics and life sciences. He received his medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School in Minneapolis, MN. He obtained his post graduate training in pediatrics at the James Whitcomb Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University in Indianapolis, IN. Following completion of his pediatric training, Dr. Sleder was in general pediatric practice in Lebanon, IN for one year and was the staff physician on the LifeLine Neonatal and Pediatric Critical Care Transport Team for over three years until joining East Valley Children's Center in October, 2006. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Janice A. Millette, R.N., M.S.N., F.N.P. graduated from Worcester Hahnemann Hospital School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse in 1972. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (cum laude) in 1976 from Boston College. Janice was inducted into the National Honor Society of Nursing in 1981. She received a Master of Science in Nursing from Arizona State University in 1985. Janice has been practicing in Maricopa County since 1985 and joined East Valley Children's Center in 1998. She is certified by the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Associates/Practitioners.

Carolyn D. Smeltzer, R.N., M.S.N., F.N.P. graduated from Harper College near Chicago, IL as a registered nurse in 1986. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (summa cum laude) from Eastern Kentucky University in 1990, at which time she was inducted into the International Honor Society of Nursing. In 1992 she graduated from Vanderbilt University with her Master of Science Degree in Nursing. Carolyn has experience in a variety of pediatric settings, including newborn nursery, pediatric and neonatal intensive care, pediatric surgery and anesthesia, and child sexual abuse evaluation. She is certified as both a Pediatric and Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She joined EVCC in August, 2007 after relocating with her family from Nashville, Tennessee.
